About me

Hello! My name is Chris King, and I am a junior majoring in Radio, Television, and Film. I am from Tuscumbia, Alabama, a very small town in the northern part of the state. I became interested in broadcasting in high school, and I have loved it since I've been at Auburn.

I don't have much background in computers. I managed to escape the basic computer class in high school. I did take it in college last summer, but I would not say my technical knowledge is great. I am the Internet Content Manager at Eagle Eye News, Auburn's completely student-produced news channel, so learning the basics of creating and maintaining a good website is very important for me, as I am the one who will be in charge of updating all breaking news stories as they happen. I hope to leave this class with a better understanding of the software that I will be using throughout my career.

Hi Chris,

This should be a great class for what you are doing. I'd be interested to hear more about what the station is doing with the Web. It sounds like you will have some good real world experience to share with the class.

Hey, Chris. I really like the design you have on your blog. The colors all look really cool together. It's very easy on the eyes. I can't believe you "escaped" computer classes in High School. Computers are great!

Chris,

Can't wait to get back to Eagle Eye and get this new website running. I didn't have computer classes in high school either. My basketball coach made me watch film instead. How did you escape?

I'm sure that this class will be a big help for you, as well as most of the people that are in this class. Not only that, but some of us might even want to help you out after this course is over.

Chris,

Thanks for the comment!

As for after graduation, I'm thinking of working for a couple of years and then going to grad school at Carnegie-Mellon University.

Chris,

There are so many things you can do with RTVF that I've changed my mind a lot, but I'm probably going to start off with some type of advertising(I like variety)
